Campaign For Uyghurs (CFU) would like to extend its warmest Eid Mubarak greetings to our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters worldwide, but our celebration is marred by the atrocities that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has inflicted on the Uyghur people. As we gather to commemorate the end of Ramadan, we must remember that millions of Uyghurs are still facing torture, rape, and genocide at the hands of the CCP.

The CCP’s genocidal campaign against the Uyghur population is a war on humanity and war on Islam, with Uyghur Muslims as their primary targets. This Eid al Fitr, we call upon the global Muslim community to remember the Uyghur people and stand with us in solidarity as we fight for justice.

The CCP’s attacks on Islam are relentless, with mosques being destroyed, Uyghurs forced to renounce their faith and every aspect of the religion being criminalized. In concentration camps, Uyghurs are subjected to brutal conditions, including forced labor, sterilization, and organ harvesting. The CCP has weaponized technology to monitor and control Uyghur Muslims, and the Uyghurs are denied basic human rights and freedoms.

Executive Director Rushan Abbas stated, “The CCP’s genocidal policies against the Uyghurs are a crime against humanity. Many of us would like to believe that the world has learned from the darkest parts of history, but at present, the international community is failing its own conscience and the vow of “Never Again”. The world must hold China accountable for its actions and demand an end to this atrocity. Until the CCP allows an unfettered international investigation and guarantees freedom and survival rights to the Uyghurs, no one should accept their facade of happy and free Uyghurs.”

The CCP’s attempts to eradicate Islam are a threat to all Muslims worldwide. We urge the global community to stand with the Uyghur people in their fight against oppression and discrimination. Eid al Fitr is a time for global unity, and CFU remains committed to the fight for justice and freedom for the Uyghur people. We call upon governments, organizations, and individuals to take action against the CCP’s genocidal policies and to hold them accountable for their crimes against the Uyghur people. As we celebrate this holy day, let us remember the Uyghur people and join together in solidarity to demand an end to their suffering.
