About Campaign for Uyghurs: 

Campaign for Uyghurs (CFU) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and freedoms of the Uyghur people in China. Our mission is to raise awareness, engage in policy advocacy, and promote international cooperation to address the human rights abuses and genocide faced by the Uyghur community.

Position Overview:

The Program Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the overall mission and objectives of Campaign for Uyghurs. This dynamic position requires an individual with excellent organizational skills, a deep commitment to human rights, and the ability to engage in advocacy efforts globally. The Program Coordinator will be based in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage CFU programs, events, and advocacy initiatives 
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing travel. 
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for program activities including reports and presentations. 
  • Represent CFU in meetings, events, and conferences as needed. 
  • Social media and content development on X, instagram, and facebook. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international relations, human rights, or political science (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to human rights, advocacy, or non-profit work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for events and engagements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in advocacy, event coordination, or program management.
  • Knowledge of human rights issues, particularly related to the Uyghur community.
