Merry Christmas to all our Friends who Celebrate

Dear Friends,

Campaign for Uyghurs would like to wish all those who celebrate, a wonderful holiday season and a very Merry Christmas.

It has been an eventful year in the fight for human rights for the Uyghur, Kazakh, Uzbek and other Turkic people in East Turkistan (known as the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous region) who are undergoing an active genocide by the People’s Republic of China. As the Uyghur diaspora continues to hold the collective pain of loss, we also know that this is a time of rest, of holding loved ones close and that of deep reflection.

The holidays present a unique opportunity to connect with ourselves, our community and tune into the world at large. As the spirit of gift giving is amongst us, we would like to present you with an opportunity to reflect and bring the Uyghur people who are being subject to systematic forced labor in your consciousness.

Many of the goods that we consume on a day to day, are made from Uyghur forced labor and unfortunately as we continue to consume, the demand for neo-slavery grows. The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act was passed in the United States and has been under implementation for six months now. Even so, we still see many products coming across the border that are tainted with the blood and sweat of enslaved Uyghurs.

Campaign for Uyghurs and many other organizations are fighting for an instrumental plan that does the Uyghur people justice. As we do the work on our end, we invite you to start or continue your learning process and bring Uyghur forced labor into your daily consciousness as you shop.

Learn and use tools that have been created by researchers and Uyghur activists that bring light to the Uyghur genocide and the use of Uyghur forced labor in the supply chains of products we consume everyday. These reports and tools will empower you with the knowledge to understand how the CCP is criminalizing entire nation to achieve its genocide while benefiting from it:

Our work would not be possible without the support of every one of you who decides to stay aware and help the movement. Thank you for continuing to give us your attention. We wish you peace and prosperity!

Warmest Regards,
The Campaign for Uyghurs team
